Ian BostridgeさんのEvery Valley は聴くのが大好きでいつも聴いているが、まさか自分で歌うとは思ってもみなかった。でも。そもそも歌をソロで歌うなんて思ってなかったのだから、歌ってみよう！！
なんとメロディーが歌詞の内容とぴったり一致している！谷と山のところはメロディーが上下し、Crocked のところは急な上下がある。そしてRough Places plainでは長音が続く！！

歌うとき、歌手が左隅、ピアニストが右隅。間にパーテイションが二重に張りめぐらされて何だか何かの実験のようだったかもしれない。ピアノ合わせもなく、発声練習もなく、ピアニストも見えない（一眼レフのように置かれた鏡越しには見えるようになっていたけど、楽譜を見て歌うしかないので実際は見えなかった）。それでも「その日」に合わせて努力した甲斐はあった練習会。曲がりなりにも新曲が4つ歌え、何よりも楽しかった！そんなにうまくは歌えなかったけど。
