Popsグループの音楽には基本的についてってないけど例外はある。2年ほど前から好きなのは韓国のグループ「BTS」我ながら先見の明あり、米国ビルボードでNo.1になった。（2020/9/20）

メンバーは「大学院」進学で兵役を逃れているとのころ。難しい問題だ。
2020/12/01 韓国政府はJINが近日中に28歳となり本人は入隊を決意したとしているが、韓国社会への貢献度が高い人の徴兵年齢を突如「30歳に引き上げる」と今日決めた。BTSへの配慮ではないかと言われれている。どうするBTS, Jin!!

BTS Grammy Award?
BTS受賞の可能性はたぶん3％ぐらいかと思う。でもノミネートされただけできっとあの人たちは大変喜んで、誇らしく思っているだろうと思う。もっと大きく成長するためのステップなのだから・・・。
ことしで63回目を迎えるグラミー賞では最優秀ポップ・デュオ/グループ・パフォーマンス賞に、韓国の男性グループBTSの「Dynamite」がノミネートされていました。
BTSが去年8月に発表した「Dynamite」は韓国の歌手による楽曲としては初めてアメリカの音楽チャート「ビルボード」のシングル部門で1位となりました。このため受賞するかどうかが注目されていましたが、この部門で受賞したのはレディー・ガガさんとアリアナ・グランデさんでした。
BTSが韓国にとどまらずアメリカなどでも人気が出た理由について、アメリカで活動する音楽ライターのナタリー・モリンさんは「アメリカの音楽業界は長年にわたってラジオのDJやレコード会社のトップが独占的に力を握っていました。しかし、ソーシャルメディアの発達でその権力がいわば民主化され音楽を聴く人たちや若い人たちに渡ったのです。こうした中でBTSは早い段階からソーシャルメディアを通じて韓国だけにとどまらず、話す言語が異なる世界中のファンとの関係を築き成長したのです」と話しています。

In a new statement posted on social media, members of the K-pop group BTS condemned the rise in anti-Asian violence and said that they’ve occasionally been made to feel “powerless” in the face of racial slurs.
“We stand against racial discrimination,” the wildly popular Korean band said in the statement, which was shared on the group’s Twitter page. “We condemn violence. You, I and we all have the right to be respected. We will stand together.”
